OUR BELIEFS

God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe who has eternally existed in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1,26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5)

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God , the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified , dead, and buried; The third day he rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Church

The Church membership makes up the Body of Christ and is part of the Christian Church under the lordship of Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit.(Matthew 16:17-19; Colossians 1:24; Hebrews 10:24-25)

Marriage

Marriage is a picture of Christ’s relationship with the Church and the relationship between husband and wife should reflect the covenant relationship of Christ and the Church. We believe the word “marriage” means only a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife, and the word “spouse” refers only to a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or wife. Marriages outside of these parameters will not be performed by church ministers or on church property. (Matthew 5; Colossians 3; Song of Solomon 1-8; Ephesians 5)

Evangelism and Discipleship

We work together to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be a light for Him within our Community and to the world. (Matthew 28:18-20)
